Keywords:Sustainable energy gap, ARDL, Granger causality, energy poverty, economic development
This study constructs an integrated and comprehensive review of worldwide sustainable energy poverty. On one hand, the hefty disparity in energy poverty is found in different economies. Energy accessibility, affordability, and clean-ability are the main blockages to improving sustainable
energy poverty. The impact of sustainable energy poverty on human economic development is estimated using ARDL. High-income panels have lower sustainable energy poverty than low-income economies. Sustainable energy poverty has a significant but negative impact on economic development in all economies. The findings can facilitate policymakers in making sound policies.
